About the course

A 90-day, project-based course delivered across 65 class days in 13 weeks. Choose a Node.js and Express pathway or a Python and FastAPI pathway, then build real APIs with databases, authentication, testing, deployment and AI integrations. The course starts with programming foundations and ends with a portfolio-ready capstone backend.

What you will learn

Hands-on, project-based learning at 360° MaaaS Hub, Kaduna.

Modules

  1. 01

    Programming and backend foundations

    Learn JavaScript with Node.js or Python, plus the terminal, Git, HTTP and professional project structure.

  2. 02

    Servers and REST APIs

    Build routed, validated APIs with Express or FastAPI and understand requests, responses and middleware.

  3. 03

    Databases and data modelling

    Model and query PostgreSQL and MongoDB data using SQL and tools such as Prisma, Mongoose or SQLModel.

  4. 04

    Authentication and security

    Implement secure registration, login, tokens, permissions, validation and protection for user data.

  5. 05

    Production development and deployment

    Test and document APIs, work with advanced backend features, Docker and cloud deployment, and explore payments or automation.

  6. 06

    AI integration and capstone

    Connect LLM APIs and agents, then ship a secure, tested and documented backend as a portfolio project.
